Tribute to Buddha

There was a dog named Buddha
He was loved more than he knew
He taught us deeper lessons than
We ever even knew

His tongue would often hang out
But he liked it that way
When people saw him going by
Often they would say

There he goes
That little man
With a soul
So pure and true

I hope that
in my next life
I am lucky
Like you

He had a mom who loved him
She held him very close
And now he is her angel
Her protector
Always close

Rest in peace Buddha
You are an ancestor now
