This is what I always ask myself……am I being the best leader I can be.
Am I blaming the followers?
When they are depending on me to help them change?
Am I not using the tools that they need to succeed?
Do I know the path to accomplish the vision I have for them?
Am I motivating my followers in a way that works for them?
Am I supporting them in the way they need, the way that works?

Leadership means enjoying the feeling of taking responsibility for the mistakes others make over and over again.
You soak it in and you master it and eventually it becomes the greatest teacher of all.
Leaders don’t blame the followers
They don’t talk badly behind their backs
They strategize
They ponder
They bleed if they need to🩸
For their followers

And the only way to know if they are doing it better
Is if their followers succeed.
Eventually that consumes them more than their own success

Because once you can teach someone else
Who was hard to teach
Who was challenging
Who it didn’t come naturally to
Who fought you every step of the way
Who didn’t want to hear what you had to say

Only when you can help them as fluidly as the easy ones
Only when you can learn to listen
And adjust and adapt and be willing to be humble in a moments notice
To not be afraid to lay down on the ground in front of them
Show them the deepest weaknesses we possess
And still have them follow
That’s when we know
We are becoming
A leader
In the deepest sense
